Describe your job in couple of sentences:
I run the recorded music arm of a global record company, covering day to day business management, leading a global team of executives and having close relationships with our artists.
When did you know what you wanted to do?
As a child, I was passionate about music and knew I wanted music to be a major part of my life
Did you go to university, go straight into the workforce or do an apprenticeship?
What did you study?
I went to Brighton Polytechnic and studied humanities. I left after a year.
What was your first job?
Does it relate to what you do now?
My first job was in the music business running a company called “in a silent way”. It was a specialist import/export distribution company.

I started working in the music business when I was 19/20 years old
How did you find out about your job (how it existed)?
I have been working for Warner for the last 15 years and progressed through the company
How did you get the job you wanted- steps and process?
Like with many things, there are a lot of contributing factors. I have championed artists all my career and as artists have flourished, I have been fortunate enough to succeed alongside them.

Passion, commitment, leadership & luck
