Describe your job in couple of sentences:
I work with alternative healing modalities to support people in their journey to integrate
emotional blocks that may be holding them back from living the life that they want.
When did you know what you wanted to do?
When I was in my mid 30s
Did you go to university, go straight into the workforce or do an apprenticeship?
What did you study?
I went to art school and studied fashion and then went back to retrain in my
30s. I did an NLP masters, a coaching qualification and two crystal healing
What was your first job?
I was a fashion designer for 14 years
Does it relate to what you do now?
I have good understanding of people and business and how to communicate
How did you find out about your job (how it existed)?
I have always been interested in therapy and healing. Through my own personal journey of
study and treatments myself I found a path that worked for me and that I wanted to develop to
apply to others.
How did you get the job you wanted- steps and process?
I started to learn more about all the separate bits that interested me. Then I took some areas
further and attained high level qualifications. I also felt I needed scientific backing to some of
the work that I do, so I made sure I had qualifications that people would recognise and feel comfortable with, such as coaching and NLP and worldwide crystal healing certifications…
What qualities do you need to have to be successful in your field?
Patience, empathy, open mindedness, ability to think outside of your own life experience, good
listener, no judgment.
Give 3 tips for someone hoping to follow in your footsteps:
Explore lots of the healing modalities that interest you and focus in from there.
Do as many courses as you can that can feed into your practice.
